This policy explains how the Margin app ("Margin") handles your information. Margin is published by Vlad Tomuș ("we"), who is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].
Features such as "Describe yourself", "Improve my old CV", "Edit with AI", writing a summary or a cover letter send the content needed for that task to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic PBC (provider of the Claude AI model) to generate the result. Depending on the feature, this can include the personal details in your CV (name, contact details, work history, education, skills), a job ad you pasted, or the text or page images of a CV file you uploaded. Our server does not store this content. Anthropic processes it as our service provider under its commercial terms; see anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Legal basis (GDPR): providing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and your consent, which the app asks for before the first AI request (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can stop at any time by not using AI features.
Each installation creates a random identifier. In the web version without a licence, free tries are counted per IP address for up to 48 hours. Together with your IP address, it is used to count AI requests against a daily limit. These counters are kept for up to 48 hours. To make sure AI features are used only by genuine copies bought on Google Play, the app uses the Google Play Integrity API; Google processes information about the app and device under Google's privacy policy and tells us only whether the copy is genuine and licensed. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing fraud (Art. 6(1)(f)).
If you use "Report AI content", we receive your message and the AI result you reported, and keep them for up to 180 days to improve the app.
App purchases are handled by Google Play. Web purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which sells the licence as merchant of record and processes your payment, billing details and VAT under its privacy policy; we receive your name, email and order details to provide the licence and support. We never receive your card details. When you use the web version with a licence key, our server checks the key with Lemon Squeezy.
Our server runs on Cloudflare. Anthropic, Cloudflare and Lemon Squeezy may process data in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
You can delete everything stored by the app at any time: Settings and info → "Delete all my data", or uninstall the app. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to object, and to complain to a supervisory authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro). Write to [email protected].
Margin is not intended for children under 16.

Achizițiile aplicației sunt procesate de Google Play. Achizițiile pentru web sunt procesate de Lemon Squeezy, care vinde licența ca „merchant of record" și prelucrează plata, datele de facturare și TVA-ul conform politicii sale; noi primim numele, emailul și detaliile comenzii pentru a oferi licența și asistență. Nu primim niciodată datele cardului. Când folosești versiunea web cu o cheie de licență, serverul nostru verifică cheia la Lemon Squeezy.
Serverul nostru rulează pe Cloudflare. Anthropic, Cloudflare și Lemon Squeezy pot prelucra date în Statele Unite, cu garanții precum Clauzele Contractuale Standard ale UE.
Poți șterge oricând tot ce este stocat de aplicație: Setări și informații → „Șterge toate datele mele" sau dezinstalând aplicația. Conform GDPR ai dreptul de acces, rectificare, ștergere, opoziție și dreptul de a depune o plângere la ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro). Scrie-ne la [email protected].
Margin nu este destinată copiilor sub 16 ani.
